Construction is in the home stretch on construction of a New Hospital at Ellsworth and Elliot roads in Mesa  This will be 94,000-square-foot, 50-bed hospital in the East Valley.  The New Hospital at Ellsworth and Elliot roads in Mesa will have an emergency room, helipad and offer inpatient surgery and diagnostic services.

The hospital is a joint venture of California-based Dignity Health and Texas-based Adeptus Health.

PMRG has completed exterior construction. Arizona General is slated to open in the first half of next year.

The New Hospital at Ellsworth and Elliot roads in Mesa will have an emergency room, helipad and offer inpatient surgery and diagnostic services.

“Healthcare providers are heavily focused on providing quality outpatient facilities and emergency care to communities currently underserved,” said Glen Perkins, PMRG executive vice president and managing Director.

San Francisco-based Dignity Health owns St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix and another Arizona General Hospital in Laveen.

Dignity opened the latter medical center last year.

PMRG has previously built another hospital in Dallas for Adeptus (NYSE: ADPT).

PMGR officials declined to disclose the cost of the East Valley hospital but Peter Phillips, a senior vice president for the real estate firm, said in a statement the project is on budget.

Ascension Group Architects and Big-D Construction Southwest LLC are part of the new Arizona General Hospital location’s construction team.

Adeptus Health Says the proposed hospital will “provide in-patient and out-patient surgical and treatment services as a full service acute care facility.”

The new New Hospital at Ellsworth and Elliot roads in Mesahas been designed by Acension Group Architects as a 3 story, 92,065 square feet building housing over a dozen emergency stations, 4 operating rooms, 46 private inpatient rooms, and a pharmacy.

Arizona General Hospital’s Mesa location is expected to open in Spring 2017.
