Mesa rocks!  500 jobs coming in.

American Traffic Solutions is moving to a new 500-employee Mesa headquarters.

ATS is moving employees from offices in Scottsdale and Tempe to the Waypoint office development next to the Mesa Riverview development and near the Chicago Cubs spring training ballpark.

Lincoln Property Co. and Harvard Investments are developing the Waypoint Project.

ATS makes red light, school bus and speeding cameras. The company also processes toll transactions and violations.

ATS will occupy an entire two-story, 108,000-square-foot Class A office building at the Waypoint development

“We appreciate the wonderful partnership we’ve had with the city of Mesa, Lincoln and Harvard,” said ATS Chairman and CEO James Tuton.

“These relationships have resulted in a building that was designed, developed and completed to meet our unique needs and will accommodate our entire Arizona workforce. This is an inspiring space, with the size and technical infrastructure to support our present and our future needs.”

Mesa Mayor John Giles said the Mesa Riverview, west of Loop 101 and south of Loop 202 is becoming an employment hub.

Lincoln Property Co.’s Executive Vice President David Krumwiede also noted the Waypoint development, on Alma School Road north of Rio Salado Parkway, is near Arizona State University’s Tempe campus and the Mill Avenue area.
