There are many fun things to do in and around San Tan Valley Arizona during the fall season. One fun thing that the whole family can enjoy is the Family Nights during the fall at Gilbert Regional Park, just 20 minutes from the center of San Tan Valley.
About Gilbert Regional Park
This park is considered a public park of the town of Gilbert Arizona, but is officially within the city limits of Chandler Arizona at 3005 E. Queen Creek Rd. in Chandler Arizona. It is one of the newest public parks in the area, only about two years old. The park features a fishing pond, splash park, BBQ grills, sand volleyball, basketball courts, tennis, pickle ball, a dirt area where some locals like to race remote control cars, walking paths, huge play structure, shaded seating areas, amphitheater and amazing views of the San Tan Mountains.
Since this park opened, it has been a community staple and favorite. It is a great place to get in some outdoor physical activity and maybe meet some people who live in the area.
Family nights during the fall at Gilbert Regional Park
On a few select Friday evenings during the fall there will be a variety of free family entertainment at the Gilbert Regional Park. These events are titled Gilbert Family Nights. On these nights you can expect to take in live entertainment. Admission to these events is free, but premier seating can be purchased right up front and a family size snack is provided with your ticket purchase. Each separate date features its own unique performance so you could come to every single Gilbert Family Night event and experience something completely new and fun.
The first Gilbert Family Night takes place on October 8 beginning at 6 PM. This night will feature the Circus Farm Variety Show. The Circus Farm Variety Show will offer circus acrobats, fire jugglers, and aerial artists as well as several other stunning and amazing circus performance acts to wow and entertain you.
The second Gilbert Family Night will begin at 6 PM and will showcase Magic by Robbie with fun magic tricks and entertainment including audience participation. This magic show will be great entertainment and fun for viewers of all ages and may just have you laughing or completely mystified with the audience participation.
The third and final Gilbert Family Night will be the Gilbert Cinemas showing a movie; Cruella. This is a Disney movie that tells the story of Cruella Deville when she was young, she is the famous villain from the 101 Dalmatians story.
All of these free public entertainment events will take place at the park’s amphitheater that overlooks the San Tan Mountains. It is encouraged that guests bring blankets or their own lawn chair and pick a comfy spot to spread out on the lawn while staying safely distanced. There will be a host of food trucks on-site to purchase food from during the events. You are also free to bring your own food and drink from home, but alcohol is asked to be left at home.
For those looking for premier seating, you can purchase seats in the VIP section for $25 per group. Ticket sales started on September 8 through Eventbright. There will be 50 safely distanced premier circle spots on the lawn and a family-size snack comes with your reserved section in a prime viewing spot on the 10-acre amphitheater lawn.
