For more than 70 years, the Desert Botanical Garden has been teaching and inspiring visitors from the local community and around the world, providing research, exhibits and more designed to help the people understand, protect and preserve the desert’s natural beauty. The Garden features 145 acres, 65 acres under cultivation, and 1 of only 44 botanical gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums. The Garden’s commitment to the community is to advance excellence in education, research, exhibition and conservation of desert plants of the world with emphasis on the southwestern United States. We will ensure that the Garden is always a compelling attraction that brings to life the many wonders of the desert.  SO MUCH TO DO!

The Desert Botanical Garden provides a world-class experience for every visitor. Through permanent trailside exhibits, temporary art exhibitions and seasonal experiences we seek to transform the visitor experience into one of discovery and meaning about the desert and desert plants.

Flashlight Tours Brighten Summer Nights

Flashlight Tours are sensory adventures through the sights, sounds and mysteries of the desert night. Guests beam their own flashlights along the self-paced trails to capture night-blooming plants and animals that chirp, whirr and flutter in the desert after dark. Our nocturnal Garden explorers can experience a different adventure every night through activities promoting play, learning and adventure.
